Understanding Media: The Extension of Man, (1964).

McLuhan was a philosopher, author and professor of communication studies. Reading his works and listening to recordings of his talks, one hears him speak of the effects of the internet long before we had the internet. In this book author argues that a society is affected and shaped by the medium, its characteristics rather than the content that’s delivered over it.
